Michael Buble guest commentator for Winter Olympics

From The Vancouver Sun, 23 November:

“Canadian superstar Michael Bublé ’s got an Olympic gig — not as a singer, but as a hockey commentator for Foxtel, the Australian pay-TV, cable channel.

““It’s like ballet on ice, except you can punch each other,” Bublé told Australia’s Courier Mail newspaper in an attempt to explain the appeal of Canada’s national sport.

“Although he’s best known as a crooner, Bublé is a huge hockey fan. Last year, he became a part-owner of the Western Hockey League’s Vancouver Giants, joining former hockey legends Gordie Howe and Pat Quinn.

“After the announcement was made at Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art, Bublé said, “It’s going to be so much fun to show you around my country, because I’m really proud to be Canadian.”

“Bublé said Australia and Canada are very similar.

“We’re real people, great sense of humour, we come from aesthetically beautiful places with great culture, and we hold on to it as tight as we can.”

If anyone recorded the foxtel show maybe you could share it. I thought it may hit youtube but didn’t. The BravoCA concert from January 19 is on youtube. For the Aussie fans, Michale has been making appearances unexpectedly on CTV (Canada) and some photos on TV have been great. Loved his posing with the announcers giving his *skating face* (the look the skaters give at the end of their routines). I will try to post it. His curling lessons were funny too. Rita – Vermont USA
