If you are thinking about buying the new Michael Bublé Biography because you love all things Bublé  — don’t waste your time or your money!

I guess those of us who made the purchase out of sheer curiosity should have known better. It is NOT authorized, nor has it been given the nod by anyone in the Bublé camp. And it’s hardly surprising.

Any one of Michael’s millions of ardent fans around the world would already know as much, if not more, than the author. Gosh, you only have to browse through the pages on this website to discover as much about Michael as is written in this pitiful excuse for a book – let alone a book claiming to be a biography.

The author, one Juliet Peel, is obviously desperate for a few extra bucks in her back pocket…and in a hurry. Sure, there was a little pre-sales hype doing the rounds prior to its release, but one only has to read the first chapter to quickly discover that this book is no more than a collection of Bublé bytes direct from the Internet tied together with some mediocre commentary and a couple of rough assumptions.

Any one of our Members who knows how to string a sentence together could have done a more admirable job, and with a little more aplomb than Ms Peel. In a sad but ironic twist, the liner notes read, “Juliet Peel is an experienced show-business journalist and writer, with extensive contacts in the celebrity world.”

The irony is that the celebrity world Ms Peel appears to know so well obviously doesn’t include Mr Bublé, nor any of his associates. Despite the numerous second-hand references to Michael, his family, acquaintances and friends, not once is there a direct quote from an old school buddy, an ex-girlfriend or anyone else for that matter.

Nevertheless, credit where credit is due. Ms Peel has the British…ahem…balls to exploit one of the most successful and lovable entertainers in the world by publishing a second-rate, B-grade inventory of Michael’s plentiful Google entries and call it her own. What more is there to say?
